The apartments themselves derive their architecture from homes found in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Urban Solutions of Johannesburg designed the units. Paul Wygers of Urban Solution comments “Our original brief on this project was to provide a design that incorporated elements of traditional architecture and modern lifestyle elements.

Traditional architecture of this typology, like the row houses of De Waterkant or Stellenbosch, are characterised by a few overriding elements such as the floor finishes which are monolithic, usually tiled and of a natural material.”
