There has been a restaurant at The Corner Post since 1997 so the restaurant is an established part of Howick; the new owners took it over in August 2008 and, after extensive renovations re-opened at the end of October 2008.

The Corner Post is a local bar and restaurant in the best sense, using local ingredients wherever possible as an expression of the ‘terroir’ of the KZN Midlands. There are many passionate and knowledgeable producers in the area, some of whom are credited on the menu. This not only ensures freshness and seasonality but also helps with food miles.
